A couple of nice low-cost flat panel television images I discovered:
New Tv

We got a flat panel Tv. We wanted a Tv or Bluray player with Web for Netflix. Had to get wireless simply because everything else in our apartment is. Couldn’t discover a Television with it for low-cost so got a Bluray player. Haven’t watched any Bluray on it yet since we do not own any. :/ But upgraded to Netflix with Bluray so sometime soon. So the Baum-Garcia house updated to some thing modern day. Still don’t have cable though, I believe most Television shows are junk so I’m OK with that.

And it came with a SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA, for free of charge. (take that Finest Get)

Short story:
I tried to get Greatest Buy to match Visions’ price, (300$ less costly) but they would not match the price AND contain the free of charge camera that is supposed to come with it. They’d only match the cost on the Tv and keep the camera. To me that’s a scam. It means the Camera is not free, it is 300$ . And they’d just sell it later.
So I went to Visions and bought it there for the lower cost and got the free camera to boot. On top of that, their warranty, if not employed by the time it expires, can be applied towards another acquire. What a concept -we’ll see if it works out that way.
This was a especially good promotion in that Cheney has been wanting a new, much better digital camera for about a year now. This camera seems to be pretty good as properly: Samsung NV24HD

My Desk

The white/grey/black colour scheme happened by accident!
The desk is a Fredrik Workstation from Ikea.
Most cables are attached to the desk with cable ties to keep them out of the way and there’s a USB hub attached to the back of the panel under the desk.
The panel is also supposed to act as a cable shelf but British plugs are too massive to fit inside it properly!
Also in this picture:
Canon MP210 printer/scanner/copier, Griffin laptop stand, HusÃ¥ Work Lamp, Ageing Logitech MX1000 mouse, Sennheiser HD210 headphones (handy when my wife is watching Tv at the other end of the room), Dymo labelling machine, some Uni-ball Jetstream pens from jetpens.com (I bought one in Japan last year and haven’t been able to locate them in the UK), fresh mug of coffee.
Still to do:
Locate a decent bluetooth mouse to replace the MX1000. Partly because the batteries don’t hold their charge like they used to and partly so I can lose the cradle.
Purchase a pair of Logitech Z-10 speakers.
Find a replacement light – it’s good to have some bias lighting but the lamp is too massive and the bulb too close to the wall. I’m thinking about finding some cheap cold cathode lights and attaching them to the back of the desk instead.
